Please read the terms and conditions set out below before proceeding. You will be asked to accept these conditions and that you have read and understood them before you can proceed with your booking. Room Prices All room prices are quoted, per night, and are inclusive of VAT. The room price includes a freshly cooked breakfast, cereals and juices. Reservations may be made up to one year in advance. We periodically review our room prices and if you make a reservation more than one month in advance, the quoted room price may change before the date of your stay. Reservations All reservations must be secured by a first night deposit payment. Reservations may be cancelled by giving 48 hours notice or more and a full refund will be given. Cancellations must be advised in person or by telephone no later than 10am on the second day preceding the planned first day of stay. In the case of an Organisation and at the discretion of the Hotel Management, we may enter in to an invoiced payment terms to be agreed and must be guaranteed by email or faxed on company headed paper within 2 hours of the agreement terms or the rooms will be released. The anticipated numbers of guests/delegates must be advised to the Guest House at the time of booking and will be identified as the minimum guaranteed number on the hotel confirmation. A variation in number of guests up to 10% will be accepted up to 1 month before the arrival date. The customer shall be responsible for paying all charges arising out of a booking, including a cancellation fee. The person who arranges or makes the booking shall be considered the 'customer'. Where a booking is made on behalf of another person, organisation or company, then that company also, shall be considered the 'customer' and shall be jointly and severally liable in respect of the booking with the person for whom the booking is made. ‘ If you need to cancel or amend your reservation, please telephone Grove Guest House on 01978 354288. Any cancellations or amendments must be made by advising within 48 hours and no later than 10am on the second day preceding your first day of stay. If you cancel after 10am on the second day before your arrival date, you will be charged for the first night’s accommodation per room booked. Note: Email cancellation will not be acceptable We reserve the right to cancel any booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of damage or destruction to the premises by fire or any other cause; any shortage of labour or food supplies, strikes, lockouts or industrial unrest or any other cause beyond the control of Grove Guest House, which shall prevent if from performing its obligations in connection with any booking. In these circumstances every effort will be made to accommodate the booking in another nearby establishment. If you have already arrived and wish to depart early, you must inform reception prior to the booked departure date by 10am on the day preceding your amended departure date. A refund for the unused part of the stay will be provided back to the original payment method only. Notification given after 10am on the day preceding your amended departure date will result in the charge being applied without amendments. Group Reservations For reservations of five rooms or more please contact Grove Guest House Management for our group booking policy and agreements. A deposit will be required to secure the reservation. This will be advised at the time of booking. For more details on our Group Booking Policy please contact Management on 01978 354288. Arrival and Departure Check-in time is from 2pm until 9pm on the day of arrival; later times may be agreed with the Hotel Management on request. Check-out time is requested by 10:30 am on the day of departure. On departure, you can leave the key with reception staff or drop it into the white box on the out side of the reception building and go Smoking Policy Smoking is permitted outside the buildings in the grounds. Our rooms are strictly non-smoking and this meets the UK legal requirements. In the case that smoking does occur in the room this will set off our smoke alarms. A charge of £100 will be levied for cleaning and charged to the registered occupants of the room equally. Payment You can secure your room reservation by payment on a credit/debit card for the first night charged as a deposit payment for each person booked. The balance is payable on your arrival for the remaining room nights booked. We accept payment by cash, cheque (with a valid cheque guarantee card that meets the value of payment), credit and debit cards (Switch, Visa, MasterCard,). Guests paying by cash are required to provide identification on check-in. Acceptable forms of identification are: passport, current driving licence, credit, debit and switch cards, current utility bills, bank statement with address or police warrant card. Agency Commission Agency bookings are welcomed at Grove Guest House, however all bookings must be non-commissionable as we do not pay agency commission. Eating and Dining Room Breakfast is served from 7am to 8.30am Monday to Friday, and 8am to 9am Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Simply turn up and you will be shown to a table and asked for your room number. If there are no tables available you will be advised of a waiting time. Guest Consideration We would like to ensure that all our guests’ stay with us is peaceful and enjoyable. We politely ask all our guests to respect each other’s stay with us. We may ask you and/or any member of your party to leave immediately if your conduct is considered by us to be inappropriate, likely to cause harm or discomfort to other guests, us or our staff, or is likely to breach this term/policy. No refunds will be given in these circumstances. We have the right either during or after your stay to recover from you the costs of any of the following: any compensation we may pay to others, including our guests; any property or accommodation damage; any other charges, fees, or levies we may incur resulting from your action or inaction and from any breach of this policy. Please note that by staying with us you agree to abide by the terms of this policy. Services Rooms and room facilities are cleaned daily, with replenished beverages and change of freshly laundered bedding and towels on a regular basis. Breakfast is freshly cooked to your order. “The Service”) is provided free of charge to you as a customer/guest of Grove Guest House in consideration for your custom, your agreement to these terms and condition
1. Extent of the Service
1.1 We do not recommend in particular the use of any websites (or other internet related services) (“Internet Services”) and your use of Internet Services is carried out entirely at your own risk.
1.2 We have no responsibility for, or control over, the Internet Services you access and do not guarantee that any services are error or virus free.
1.3 We have no responsibility for, or control over, the information you transmit or receive via the Service.
1.4 Save for the purposes of network diagnostics we do not examine the use to which you put the Service or the nature of the information you send or receive.
1.5 We do not guarantee:
1.5.1 the availability of the Service;
1.5.2 the speed at which information may be transmitted or received via the Service; or
1.5.3 that the Service will be compatible with your equipment or any software which you use.
1.6 Whilst we take reasonable steps to ensure the security of the Service and to prevent unlawful access to information transmitted or received using the Service, we do not guarantee the security of the information which you may transmit or receive using the Service or located on any equipment utilising the Service and you accept that it is your responsibility to protect your information and have adequate security (in terms of equipment and procedures) to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of your information and data.
1.7 We reserve the right at all times to withdraw the Service, change the specifications or manner of use of the Service, to change access codes, usernames, passwords or other security information necessary to access the service.
2. Your Use of the Service
2.1 You must not use the Service to access Internet Services, or send or receive e-mails, which:
2.1.1 are defamatory, threatening, intimidatory or which could be classed as harassment;
2.1.2 contain obscene, profane or abusive language or material;
2.1.3 contain pornographic material (that is text, pictures, films, video clips of a sexually explicit or arousing nature);
2.1.4 contain offensive or derogatory images regarding sex, race, religion, colour, origin, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition or sexual orientation;
2.1.5 contain material which infringe third party’s rights (including intellectual property rights);
2.1.6 in our reasonable opinion may adversely affect the manner in which we carry out our business; or
2.1.7 are otherwise unlawful or inappropriate;
2.2 Music, video, pictures, text and other content on the internet are copyright works and you should not download, alter, e-mail or otherwise use such content unless certain that the owner of such works has authorised its use by you.
2.3 We may terminate or temporarily suspend the Service if we reasonably believe that you are in breach of any provisions of this agreement including but not limited to clauses 2.1 to 2.3 above.
2.4 We recommend that you do not use the service to transmit or receive any confidential information or data and should you choose to do so you do so at your own risk.
2.5 The Service is intended for consumer use only. In the event that you use the Service for commercial purposes we would specifically refer you to clause 5.2 below.
3. Criminal Activity
3.1 You must not use the Service to engage in any activity which constitutes or is capable of constituting a criminal offence, either in the United Kingdom or in any state throughout the world.
3.2 You agree and acknowledge that we may be required to provide assistance and information to law enforcement, governmental agencies and other authorities.
3.3 You agree and acknowledge that we may keep a log of the Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses of any devices which access the Service, the times when they have accessed the Service and the activity associated with that IP address
3.4 You further agree we are entitled to co-operate with law enforcement authorities and rights-holders in the investigation of any suspected or alleged illegal activity by you which may include, but is not limited to, disclosure of such information as we have (whether pursuant to clause 3.3 or otherwise), and are entitled to provide by law, to law enforcement authorities or rights-holders.
4. Other Terms
4.1 You agree to compensate us fully for any claims or legal action made or threatened against us by someone else because you have used the service in breach of these terms and conditions, and in particular clause 2.1 to 2.3 and 3.1 above.
4.2 Whilst we do not seek to limit our responsibility for fraudulent misrepresentation or if you are injured or die as a result of our negligence we have no responsibility (to the extent permitted by law) to compensate you (whether or not we are negligent) for any direct financial loss, loss of profit, revenue, time, anticipated savings or profit or revenue, opportunity, data, use, business, wasted expenditure, business interruption, loss arising from disclosure of confidential information, loss arising from or in connection with use of the service or inability to use or access the service or a failure, suspension or withdrawal of all or part of the service at any time or damage to physical property or for any other similar direct loss that may arise in relation to this agreement whether or not we were advised in advance of the possibility of such loss or damage.
4.3 We agree that neither this agreement does not allow either party to act as, or hold themselves out as, acting as an agent of the other party and that that the terms of this agreement are not enforceable by a third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
4.4 This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales and is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Miscellaneous Electrical appliances, such as mini cookers and toasters, may not be used in the rooms. In wholly exceptional circumstances which are beyond our control we reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel your reservation. All reservations are subject to the Licensing Act 1984 and the Hotel Proprietor’s Act 1956.
